Ocean Rush Is a fanmade Idol duo made by OpalTheOcto (Opal_The_Octo on twitter), This duo Hosts Inkopolis news and makes announcements on the newest splatfests and map changes for Downtown Inkopolis. This duo consists of Aqua, An Octoling, and Sky, An Inkling.
Appearance[]
Aqua[]
Aqua is a 20 year old Octoling. Her hair is black, fading to lilac. She has a side ponytail, using one of her tentacles to form the ponytail. She has light purple eyes and lilac pupils, the shape of her pupils seem to resemble an eight.
Aqua's idol apparel consists of a dress with a darkish gray top, with short transparent purple sleeves, and a transparent, dark purple skirt that goes down to her knees, she also has a goldish yellow elastic that holds up her ponytail, a dark blue necklace, and light purple slip-ons.
Sky[]
Sky is a 21 year old Inkling. her hair is black, fading to blue. she has extremely long tentacles, in which she used to form a bun, and since the her tentacles are super long, they hang down to her feet. she uses a goldish yellow elastic to keep her tentacles together. She has dark blue eyes and lighter blue pupils.
Sky's idol apparel consists of a dress with a light gray top, with long transparent blue sleeves, with no shoulder piece, and a transparent blue skirt with and opening in the middle, she also has a dark purple necklace, and light blue slip-ons.

Aqua[]
Aqua was an Octoling soldier for the Octarian army, she had a change of heart when she heard the Calamari Inkantation. she tried to continue her life like normal but she couldn't, so she escaped to Inkopolis. When she came up she saw some inklings, so she followed them to the lobby, and did some turf war. she continued to play turf war for a few weeks, leveling up and getting new weapons. until on day, she met a inkling during battle, the inkling tried to talk with her, but she didn't understand the Inkling language, so the Inkling decided to teach her. they hung out for months on end, learning about each other, and teaching each other about their culture. she finally understood the inkling when she told Aqua her name, Sky. They hung out and played turf war together. when Aqua started singing the Calamari Inkantation to herself, Sky showed her Off The Hook. she developed a love for music and started writing her own. and one time when she sung the lyrics to one of her songs, Sky overheard and asked if she wrote it, Aqua said yes. this continued when Aqua heard Sky sing the lyrics to the same song, when Sky saw her. she said she couldn't help but sing it. Aqua complemented her voice and ask to start a band. Sky said yes. so they tried many different types of music and released their first song A Rush Of Color. this song became very popular and helped the group rise to fame. about 6 months later, one of the producers of inkopolis news decided to contact the duo to host inkopolis news for Downtown Inkopolis, they accepted and quickly moved to Downtown Inkopolis.

Sky was raised in Inkopolis Plaza, and moved to Inkopolis Square a year after splatoon's finalfest. she was born into a semi-rich family. her parents expected a lot out of sky, causing sky to get very stressed when it came to winning turf war or ranked battles. no matter what she did, her parents didn't seem to care. she acted as if everything was ok, she used turf war as a means to feel better. she started participating in splatfests during the Roller Coasters Vs. Water Slides Splatfest, on Team Water Slides, A year after the Callie Vs. Marie splatfest, she moved to Inkopolis Square to chase her dreams of becoming a famous musician. her hopes weren't too high, and she failed to get any recognition on her own. so afterward she decided to give it a break, and started playing turf war again, after a few weeks of this she met an octoling, Sky asked about her, but she didn't understand anything the octoling said, so she decided to teach her the Inkling language. they hung out for months on end, learning about each other, and teaching each other about their culture. when the octoling finally understood her, and Sky learned that her name was Aqua. Aqua[]
Aqua is extraverted and talkative, and easily excitable. she became pent up in the octarian society, which has caused her to become hyperactive and bouncy, many people see this as a flaw, but she doesn't really notice it, she still remains unaware to most of the inkling culture, and she has a hard time understanding it. She's Bisexual.
she always keeps a smile on her face, and remains sweet and charming, she often gets nervous in front of huge crowds, and can be unaware of peoples reactions and emotions while on camera. She often laughs at her mistakes and tries to improvise.
Sky[]
Despite being happy and relaxed on Inkopolis News, she's quite shy and outspoken, a result of how her parents treated her. she finds it hard talking to others, and always thinks about how they may reply. she only hangs out with close friends, but she tries to make new ones every once and a while. She's Asexual.
While she always acts peppy and sweet, she often worries herself about future mistakes, and when she makes one, she proceeds to think less of herself, she tries her best to get out of these habits, but finds it a bit hard.

- Aqua mains blasters, while Sky mains Brushes
- Aqua likes battling in mid, so the rest of her team can get more turf, she has good aim and likes how powerful blasters are, she uses a custom blaster, made just for her, it uses burst bombs and ink armor
- Sky likes being quick and precise, so she can get as much turf as possible, she has decent aim and doesn't enjoy battling with other inklings and octolings, she uses a custom inkbrush, made just for her, it uses suction bombs and tenta missiles
